Creation Covers has a much better all round set of GP 14 covers in Weathermaxx.
Chris Gould has spoken to several top GP sailors and taken their advice on developing a new range of covers for the boat. The idea is to have a set of covers that fit the boat better as well as being easier to put on and more durable all round.
Designing for the GP is a challenge as GP14 boat covers need to do many things apart from the obvious one of covering the boat and keeping the weather off
The new design covers have deeper skirts and a full transom cover as standard on both the flat and the over boom cover. The reason for this is that many GP’s are wooden and this stops them getting a sun bleached line across the middle of the transom. It also helps by giving extra protection to the back of the hull when bumping off the trailer.
Extra straps have been added including a bow strap to hold everything in place securely. All buckles are quick release and everything is UV stabilised as expected.

Tapered spinnaker sheets in a new rope designed with English Braids that is softer, grippier, more durable and has smooth tapers into sk78 Dyneema.
Split tail main sheets with 2 Dyneema cores that can be tucked inside one another for a very smoothly taper and no hard lump to pull through the back block.
Made to measure spinnaker bags that hold the spinnaker off the floor of the boat in order to let it dry out better as well as stopping it sitting in any water that may be sloshing around. Patterns for Speed, Winder and Duffin GP’s, but have made bespoke bags.
Spoon and square GP14 rudder bags in super soft foam inner and Weathermax outer.
